A new head office that reflects the people who work there. Designed for the Groupe Lapalme team, this 10,000+ sq. ft. building features bright offices, conference rooms, a gym with locker rooms, and a large cafeteria that opens onto an outdoor terrace. These modern, collaborative spaces provide this excavation and civil engineering firm with an environment tailored to its daily operations and future growth.

The challenge

Projects evolve, and this one was no exception. During construction, the planned heating and air conditioning system was redesigned to take advantage of a more beneficial and energy-efficient solution. Just one month before delivery, a major structural change was also requested to close an opening originally planned in the entrance floor.

Our approach

Every change was integrated with the same goal in mind: to bring the client's vision to life without compromising the schedule. Coordination between professionals, subcontractors, and site teams allowed for quick adjustments, while the revision of the mechanical systems helped optimize the building's energy performance and access to available grants.

Results

Groupe Lapalme now has a head office designed as much for its operations as for its team. The adjustments made along the way ensured the delivery of a building that meets the client's needs, while improving energy performance and meeting the scheduled move-in date.
