Building Project Manager: Your day-to-day responsibilities

Estimating

  • Analyze tender opportunities to develop realistic and competitive project estimates.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates using the company's estimating software.
  • Assess project risks and recommend solutions to optimize costs and schedules.

Project Management

  • Develop and maintain project schedules while ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Plan and implement, in collaboration with the Site Superintendent and Sustainability Coordinator, a waste management plan tailored to each project.
  • Oversee the quality of work throughout project execution while ensuring compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the job site, clients, internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors.

Building Strong Relationships

  • Promote a safe work environment by proactively identifying and preventing risks.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service throughout every stage of the project.
  • Collaborate with teammates to improve processes and achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in building construction, construction engineering, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and estimating software.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a high level of accountability.
  • A collaborative mindset and excellent teamwork skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in both French and English is required to facilitate regular communication with English-speaking clients, consultants, subcontractors, and business partners.
