From a former police station to an immersive thermal experience. RECESS Thermal Spa completely reimagines the site's purpose, creating an indoor relaxation space designed around the user experience. A circular dry sauna, cold plunge, and high-end amenities and finishes come together in an enveloping atmosphere where lighting plays a central role.

The challenge

Transforming a former police station into a thermal spa brought its own set of technical challenges. The new use required the integration of several electromechanical systems into a space where aesthetics had to remain the priority. The challenge was to integrate all the functional elements of the facility without compromising the desired atmosphere.

Our approach

System coordination was driven by the final experience we wanted to achieve. Every technical intervention had to find its place within the layout, integrating discreetly with the finishes, custom lighting, and various architectural elements. Meticulous attention to detail allowed us to preserve the visual simplicity of the spaces despite everything hidden behind the scenes.

Results

Our work transformed a space that was never intended to be a thermal spa into an environment where every detail contributes to the desired experience. Behind the apparent simplicity of the space lies meticulous technical coordination that allowed us to bring the RECESS vision to life, without compromising on aesthetics or functionality.
