The challenge
On this major Sherbrooke artery, every intervention had to be designed to limit the impact on users and nearby businesses. Added to this reality were a restricted construction site, a tight schedule, and several teams working simultaneously. Certain critical stages therefore had to be carried out within very precise time windows.
Our approach
Work planning was orchestrated around maintaining traffic flow and tight coordination between the various stakeholders. Notably, the 34 steel girders were installed over a single weekend, while the approximately 460 m³ of concrete for the deck were poured in one night. This final operation also helped avoid construction joints and promoted the quality and durability of the structure.
